SACA seniors will travel to Orlando, Florida for the HBCU Fair. The Propel Group is hosting a HBCU fair at Disney for high school seniors, Thursday, October 6, 2022 - Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Hey parents! The week has come for us to travel to Orlando, FL! Permission slips were given out to the seniors, and I will need those back on Monday. Please feel free to come in the front office and get a permission slip from the front desk if your child did not come home with one.
Tuesday, October 4, 2022, there will be a Zoom call with the Propel Group. This is the organization that's hosting the HBCU Fair, and they will be giving parents all the information you will need to know for the trip. Each student is to complete a survey before the trip. Travel, food, and hotel are FREE! Snacks, breakfast, and lunch will be provided on the bus ride also. We will stop a few times on the way there and coming back. Dinner will be provided on the way back.
Media Release Form Required
Please print this out, sign it, and let your child bring the media release form to Naomi Thompson on Monday, October 3, 2022.
We will depart from Maynard Jackson High School on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 8:00 am! Please have your child there at 7:45 am. They have made it clear they will not be waiting on any late arrivals. Estimated time of arrival back in Atlanta will be from 10:30 pm - 11:30 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2022. We will call when we are close. Please feel free to contact Naomi Thompson with any questions or concerns.
PLEASE NO LARGE LUGGAGE! We will only be away for 2 nights) Students must pack their entire dress uniform! They may wear comfortable clothing for the ride down and back. Swimsuits/swim trunks are optional, because there are swimming pools available on site.
Spending money is suggested. There will be plenty of activities available on site that aren't free, and shopping. We recommend $100 - $200 for travel. Parents discretion.
THE SENIORS ARE NOT EXCUSED FROM ANY SOCIAL STUDY FAIR WORK THAT IS DUE NEXT WEEK! THEY MUST TURN IN THEIR WORK BEFORE WE DEPART.
